MY ULTIMATE GLOBAL ADVENTURE, Day #51: San Francisco to Honolulu

I'm at the the San Francisco Airport on the final day of my ultimate global adventure.  In Amsterdam, this would be a shop where you could purchase magic truffles and similar hallucinogens:


There, coffee shops are for marijuana.

Goodbye SFO and California:


United Airlines must have known I was coming, as they changed the plane to an international 777, with  a real first class section.  Even the stewardess was surprised, and served champagne before take-off.  The cuisine was okay:


Hello Honolulu:


That's Honolulu International Airport.  Hawaii is, indeed, beautiful!

The Dow Jones Industrials jumped 124 to 15,215, another all-time high.  Since the year 2000, the Dow has actually, in 2013 dollars, dropped 1.3%.  However, since 9March2009, it has leaped 141%.  The really big bull market, though, ran from 4December1987 to 24March2000, when the Dow skyrocketed 582%:

In the Indian Ocean, Tropical Cyclone Mahasen is expected to reach hurricane strength, but weaken a bit before striking Bangladesh:


Actually, there is already a disturbance south of Central America.  The Eastern Pacific hurricane season officially begins tomorrow.  The Atlantic season runs from June 1st, and both officially end on November 30.
