It'a freezing at Reagan National Airport, literally, and the weather will only get colder for the next three months.
You can see the Capitol in the background.
Amazingly enough, while I was supposed to return to Honolulu at around 8PM tonight, someone at United Airlines changed my itinerary, and, without telling me (which is scary, because my plane left earlier), put me on a flight to Chicago, then directly to Honolulu, meaning that I will be arriving at 3:30PM or so, more than four hours early. While terrific, I wish they had first informed me.
The United flight left 5 minutes early:
That's the Pentagon. The approach to Chicago was white:
It was 14 F below zero in Chicago.
The walk from Concourse C to B was colorful:
Unfortunately for some, this is disorienting, for there is sometimes the odor of barf at the ends of the moving walkway.

The eight and a half hour flight to Honolulu was fine, with two meals, pasta and cheeseburger:
The Captain announced that there was a beautiful view of the Grand Canyon, but by the time I looked, this is what I saw (or maybe it was on the other side):
Anyway, I'm home in Honolulu and all is well.
