Yesterday was the first day of my experiment with Garcinia Cambogia, a natural product featured on the Dr. Oz Show, "promising" to lower both your weight and blood sugar levels. Read my blog of exactly two months ago about this plan. Oz called it the "Holy Grail of Weight Loss." Yet, it certainly sounds like a scam, but, hey, Dr. Oz can't take a huge chance on a dangerous protocol. This not OxyELITE Pro, which has largely been taken off the shelves. There was one warning on the internet not to take GC, as alcohol gave him terrible headaches. I got none.
I really don't have a weight problem, yet wouldn't mind eating more of what I like, but over the past year am getting concerned about my rising blood sugar level. So how bad can a natural (husk of an Indonesian tamarind) pill be to cure both at the same time? This fruit is used in various dishes in Indonesia and India, and how many obese people do you see in those countries. I did check with my doctor first and he basically had no problem. I take a blood test in two weeks, so the timing is about right.
Lo and behold, I had three vivid and incredibly memorable dreams last night. I generally don't remember them, and, might perhaps have one a year of any noteworthiness. Click on my Huffington Post article of two and a half years ago of my previous most notable: Suicide Dreams.
Before sharing with you my dreams, I thought I'd first report on my internet search. The first entry was a blog, coqui0201, reporting on Day One of that individual's experience. That person had vivid dreams. GC does boost blood circulation to the brain. A comment to another blog mentioned crazy dreams. So, maybe there is something connecting GC to dreams.
My dreams were like going to a triple-header movie combination, for each seemed to be as long as films. These are condensed reviews, or this posting would go on forever:
DREAM #1: The first was an eclectic adventure film, with background music (because I had on Soundscape when I fell asleep--the scenes seemed to follow the instrumentals). I normally don't dream until hours after sleeping, but this one occurred during the first two hours, when I awoke to go to the bathroom. The distinctive difference with this movie was that it featured real Hollywood actors, Bruce Dern and Chris Cooper come to mind, the latter, mostly because he was dominant. In all three dreams I took on a secondary role, a variation, for I was the star of all my previous remembered dreams. The story begins at some kind of gathering with truly fit and good looking females (links to my two Las Vegas Athletic Club exercise sessions this week). Then some of us were on a helicopter and the experience was X-rated. We land at the base of a mountain, with a party occurring next to a giant (largest I've ever seen) pool. Then suddenly there was a landslide (one of the items on the TV news previous to my falling asleep was a landslide), and we all should have been killed. But, somehow, I remember climbing to the top and walking over to the other side of the pool, where people were still swimming and having fun in some muddy water. The ending showed Chris Cooper and I walking out of range with just the right background music.
DREAM #2: I'm in some college type dormitory, and everyone was dressing into tuxedos for a formal affair. The banter and reparteeing were cool and smart. At one point, the leader of the group noticed I was reading my "Star Power for Humanity" HuffPo on fusion, and a good part of the dream went into our discussion on the failure of Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's National Ignition Facility, and the hopelessness of ITER fusion facility in France. I noticed I was not dressing, and remembered that my dormitory was on another part of the campus. As I left, they all were on a bus to somewhere, and it occurred to me that I did not know where they went. As I was heading back there was a sudden flood and the stream overflowed, which I could not traverse. It gets a bit murky here, and it took a long time for me to find my way, but, after awhile, I too was in my tux, and there was a grand gathering at a castle, with activities on the surrounding land. However, these were not college students but mature adults. I then saw a large electronic screen listing the top ten "performers," like on a golf course. Apparently, with all the cameras and hidden mikes around, some computer, playing Big Brother, was evaluating how we were interacting with each other, and the highest scores kept changing. A dignified Joe Pesci individual, who kept reappearing in this dream, apparently was named champion. I never made the top ten.
DREAM #3: There was a large crowd waiting to get into a luncheon to honor some Buddhist dignitary. An announcement was made NOT TO RE-ARRANGE ANYTHING WHEN WE ENTERED, not even the plants. The next scene showed some members of my family (and my previous postings reported on my visit with them this week) walking to our table. My mother was there, and so was Pearl, but in a dream you can't differentiate from reality. No one else was in this room except us, and someone decided that our table was not located well (there were at least 75 seating 10 each). So the staff moved everything away and we were re-located to a side room. We then had nowhere to sit, so we asked the staff to return the table. Some very large sumotori and their handlers placed two very large bowls of chankonabe on the table, which had been moved to the opposite side of the building. They then dragged the table, with the sloshing soup, making a lot of screeching noise. I inquired why they didn't carry the bowls and table separately, and one of them indicated that religious edicts required that this was the proper method. I then awoke.
Well, tonight is Day 2 of Garcinia Cambogia, so I anxiously await my next set of dreams.

Super Typhoon Francisco, at 150 MPH, is expected to strengthen into a Category 5 (highest):
The latest computer models now have Francisco crashing into Shikoku and then to Honshu, but possibly turning northeast into the Pacific. However, these projections are changing hourly. This typhoon will begin to affect Japan around mid-week.
